NEET PG Counselling 2024 –

NEET PG 2024 counselling dates and schedule will be announced by MCC. The counselling will begin most likley in the second week of September 2024. Candidates will have to register on the official website of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to participate in the seat allocation process for NEET PG 2024. The exam was held on August 11, 2024. NEET PG 2024 result date will be announced soon. NBE will declare NEET PG 2024 result tentatively in the last week of August. 

Only candidates who qualify NEET PG with the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. NEET PG counselling comprises online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment result, and reporting. It must be noted that MCC conducts counselling for 50% All India Quota seats while respective state counselling authorities will be conducting counselling for rest 50% AIQ seats. MCC conducts total 4 rounds of counselling for seat allotment in deemed, central universities, 50% AIQ seats, and 50 State quota seats.

Candidates have to register online and declare choices for participating in the counselling process. Registration can be done on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in. For registration, candidates have to login with email ID and mobile number and fill application form. Candidates can declare n number of choices based on their preference of college and course. It must be noted choices must be saved and locked before the deadline as there is no option to change the choices after the deadline. Choices are automatically locked after the last date.

Types of NEET PG Counselling

The NEET PG 2024 result by the NBE is used for counselling and the seat allotment process. As mentioned above, the counselling of NEET PG 2024 for 50% AIQ and 100% deemed and central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats will be conducted by MCC. While for state quota and seats in private universities, the NEET PG 2024 counselling will be conducted by respective state bodies.   • The round-wise NEET PG counselling registration will be done for all aforementioned institutes, which can be done through a single window.

  • For 50% AIQ seats in government institutes, four rounds of counselling of NEET PG 2023 will be conducted.

  • For 100% seats in deemed and central universities, MCC will conduct an additional mop-up round after the second round of NEET PG counselling.

Types of NEET PG 2024 counselling process

Those who qualify NEET PG 2024, securing the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG counselling is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats. A total of four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2024 will be conducted by MCC for the above-mentioned seats. The respective State authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% AIQ seats. The counselling process starts with online registrations and ends with candidates reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents.

Choice filling

Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. Candidates can choose as many options as they want. The options will be given on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once chosen. Options can be added or deleted from the list. Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them as the seat allocation will be done on the basis of the same. Candidates should lock the choice otherwise it will be automatically locked after the due date. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.

How to fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment 2024

  • Go to the MCC website and log in through registration credentials
  • Fill the choice of college and course for NEET PG seat allotment 2024
  • Click on ‘+’ button to add a new choice
  • For rearranging the order of choice filled, just drag it to the desired position
  • Click on ‘save and next’ to lock the final choices as desired by candidates

Seat allotment Result

MCC releases the result of NEET PG counselling in the form of a seat allotment list. The result PDF comprises details of the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him, and remarks. After the registration process for the first round for NEET PG counselling, MCC will start seat allotment processing. Seats will be allocated based on the options filled by the candidates, their all India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects. MCC will upload the NEET PG seat allotment list on its official website in PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list can download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.

What after NEET PG counselling round 1?

After the release of the NEET PG 2024 seat allotment for counselling round one, candidates will be required to follow the steps mentioned below based on their status.

  1. Free exit: The seat allotted in the first round of MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 will be cancelled if a candidate does not report to the allotted institute within the stipulated time. Such an option is referred to as ‘free exit.’

  2. Accepting the seat allotted in round one: If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in the first round of NEET PG 2024 counselling is satisfied with the allotted seat they can report to the allotted institute and secure their seat by paying tuition fee.

  3. Upgradation in round 2: If a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can opt for upgradation and participate in the second round of NEET PG counselling 2024. In case the seat is not upgraded during the second round, the seat allotted to the candidate in NEET PG counselling round one will be retained.

NEET PG 2024 counselling round two

The process of the second round of MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 will be the same as that of round one. During NEET PG counselling round two, new candidates will be required to register and pay the registration fee. However, filling fresh choices of course and colleges will be mandatory for all the candidates willing to participate in round two of NEET PG 2024 admission.

Who are eligible for NEET PG 2024 counselling round two

  • Candidates not allotted any seat in NEET PG counselling 2024 round one

  • Candidates whose seat allotted in NEET PG admission round one got cancelled in physical document verification

  • Candidates willing for up-gradation of seat in second round of NEET PG 2024 counselling

  • Candidates who opted for free exit or did not participate in the counselling of NEET PG round one.

 

Candidates participating in round two of MCC NEET PG 2024 counselling must note that there is no option of ‘free exit’ in the second round of counselling. If a candidate does not secure his NEET PG admission 2024 in the college/seat allotted during round two, his/her refundable security deposit will be forfeited.

NEET PG 2024 counselling mop-up round

  • The mop-up round of MCC NEET PG counselling will be conducted only for admission to deemed and central universities and ESIC institutes.

  • Fresh registration: Candidates who exited either round one or round two of NEET PG 2024 counselling by not reporting to the allotted college will be required to register again for the mop-up round.

  • No new registration: Candidates who did not get any seat either in round one or in round two of NEET PG counselling will not be required to register again for mop-up round.

  • Choice filling: All candidates will have to fill fresh choices of course and colleges.

  • Seat allotment: The NEET PG 2024 seat allotment of mop-up round will be published on the official website.

NEET PG 2024 counselling for state quota seats

  • Respective state authorities will conduct the counselling of NEET PG 2023 for remaining 50% state quota seats and 100% seats in private institutes.

  • State quota counselling process is being conducted after the declaration of NEET PG result 2023 by the NBE.

  • Through state quota NEET PG counselling, 50% seats in government colleges and 100% seats in private colleges in the state will be filled.

  • Every state will release an application form of NEET PG 2024 counselling for state admission.

  • Candidates must fulfill the required eligibility criteria’s such as minimum NEET PG cutoff, academic qualification, domicile, and other criteria to participate in state NEET PG counselling 2024.

  • Counselling conducting authority will release the NEET PG state merit list of eligible candidates.

  • Candidates will be required to fill their preference of colleges and courses and upload relevant documents during NEET PG counselling for state quota seats.

  • On the basis of choices filled, NEET PG 2024 state rank, reservation criteria, and other factors, candidates will be allotted MD, MS, and PG diploma seats in the state.
